What is a PSP satellite school?

A PSP satellite school is an educational institution (usually online) that has filed a private school affidavit. The PSP satellite school handles your students transcripts and paperwork so that you and your student is compliment with state educational laws and regulations. Parents pay an annual enrollment fee to join a PSP satellite school.

Parents who enroll their children in a PSP become teachers (of their own children) in that school. If your child is enrolled in a PSP, they are enrolled in a Private School and you do not need to enroll in a charter school or file your own PSA.

Administrative PSPs:

PSPS that operate solely to offer support with filing, and records are called Administrative PSPs. Because your instruction is online and at home, you do not have to choose a PSP satellite school in your area.

PSPs that Offer onsite classes:

Some PSP's offer onsite classes, enrichment activities, and field trips. If you want to opt into to in person offerings, you will need to choose a PSP close to your area.
